Picked up the last of my brake parts tonite for my '52 project. I now have all new brake parts including lines. thanks to the overtime I had to work for the past month I had the extra money to do it right. I guess one thing would be better.....getting time to start putting them on.
Do not despair - all good things come to those who wait. Safety first and thats good to see you have all the right stuff. Its a great feeling when all your hard work comes together and you can take the parts off the shelf and bolt them on and say - YEP that jobs done.
Finding a SBF 3-2 intake new in the box for 1/2 price is at the top of my list. But more so ,baring any problems Driving my youngest daughter to her outdoor wedding in the 54F100 next summer should be the greatest.
Short answer is YES!!!!!!! YES!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You may be missing something, so you might as well go and put your brakes on.
Actually ... I like finding OLD parts better than new parts. Getting 32 Ford fenders, grilles and such ... way beats buying new repro stuff IMHO. .
I guess I should have said anything better than having parts to install. My car had been sitting while I was getting money together for parts.
I can relate ... it took me 10 years of working, saving, buying and trading to get my 32 Ford roadster back on the road. New parts are GOOD also
Let me try this again; Is anything better than taking the day off work and spending it working in the garage on the project '52 Chevy? Got the blues playing on XM and a couple cold beers and so far things are going great.
OOOOOH YEAH......COLD BEERS . 2-busch in the hand are worth more then 2-in the bush. Whats that got to do with your '52 ? "AND THE BOWTIE ROLLS ON"
One thing better is getting new parts that fit! I just had to send some back to The Filling Station. Replaced them with out a hitch though.
Amen Got shoes, wheel cyls, axle seals, emergency brake cables, some lines, etc done today. Not going to get back on it till Monday. Man I love this car!!!
No there isn't, someone gave me a new (old) bootlid. Not just cheap, they gave it me and it's mint. Now have a bootlid to be-badge and smooth over along with the hood i picked up last month. Just have to save some money for the louvres and welding up some holes and paint etc. New or old parts its always good to get more junk, just a shame my garage is full and my bedroom looks like a swap meet!
