  10. Missed it by 1 week (damn) - had to go to the VA hosptial complex at Biloxi the past week for progress inspections/punch lists on several of the new buildings and started to see some of the setup going on. Why couldn't they have waited for a week - oh, yeah, hotel rates and crowds. If any of you all use the parking garage at the VA hospital or visit the national cemetery there, tell all the vets you run into thanks for their service, then look at all the new buildings at the Med Center - I'm pretty lucky those projects have kept me and a lot of others gainfully employed thru the recession. But beware - I gained 7 pounds from all the fresh seafood we ate while in town.

Got a great roadster sunburn from the great weather we've had this week...Way too many musclecars and streetrods, but there are some great traditional hotrods running around too. If anybody does the Ocean Springs event thursday, look for my black model a, and give me a holler..

I couldn't make it this year, but my in-laws are there. Bragging about it and sending me pictures almost daily. Absolutely killing me. My mother-in-law and her jeepster made car of the day at the local paper and was featured on the front page i think a couple of days ago.

Hope to go next year. Gotta start saving now.

Went yesterday. I went to the swap meet and made it over to Edgewater mall for late afternoon and early night crusin. May have seen the best 29 I have ever seen. Dark green looks black paint, white interior, flathead, fenders, Texas plates. Someone needs to start a thead about this car. Someone take a picture-you will know this car when you see it. Oh yea ran into Judd and his gasser. Very cool car and Judd seemed like alot Hambers I've met super friendly and could talk cars all day.

Viewed the green 32 in Ocean Springs Friday night. Awesome car with great potential. I'd love to have one like it. Found a pair of fog lights at the swap meet. Now I have a problem. Should I run the lights on my 34 Ford Coupe or 33 Ford PU? Maybe I should run one light on each. Great event.

I got to go..started at the swap meet saw an old fella on one of the end caps that had an old Edelbrock 573 3x2 for $375. There was a few issues with it but I believe is could have been spruced up. Somebody had overtightened a bolt..cracked and it had been welded up. I've got a 292 that I have yet to commit to and thought long and hard about buying that 3x2...eventually walked away. Will clean up my stock parts and run a 4 barrel...maybe sombody here on the HAMB needs it more. I had my eyes out for some 28-29s not much luck. Wrong place/wrong time maybe

Is that the car with the white top and cycle fenders in the front? I saw it in the parking lot outside the swap meet. I know the term "period correct" has become a cliche', but that car defined the term.

Same car. Someone needs to post some pictures of this car. Best period correct car I've seen. Workmanship was perfect-and it was being driven. Saw lots of other cool cars with good workmanship(Hamb type cars). Is it me or is there a movement toward better workmanship and less Rat type work.

I dunno...a few of them looked like rolling Cracker barrel restaurants and people were flocking around them and gawking. I'm afraid they'll keep building them as long as spectators keep looking at em....Lots of good stuff to look at this year, though
