Guys - Help me identify this -

I have a 4 barrel intake (ECZ 9425 I think the number is off the top of my head) with tube that runs from the inside of the coolant p***age on the right across the intake and exits on the left. Where it exits is just a ******. It's roughly a 1/4 I.D. or so. What is it for? I was just planning on drilling it out where it exits the intake and tapping it for a plug.

I just want some ***urance that this mod won't cause me any headaches later on.

If you are talking about the tube that runs thought the center of the intake, it it for the choke stove. That area is the exhaust cross over and not a coolant p***age. The carb pulls air through this tube up into the black choke thermostat. After the choke warms up it opens the choke. You can leave the tube alone unless you want to plug it for cosmetics. There will be no leaks if it's left unplugged on both ends.

Well that makes sense! I was wondering what kind of teeny-tiny coolant hose I was supposed to be using. :)

    Thanks, Tommy!

I bought a ECz 9425b intake manifold on e bay ,after inspection I notice a small tube that crossed the exhaust from one side to the other with a mushroom like head on one of the sides ,I looked inside and notice the tube was cracked, is this crack goin to b a problem? and if so how do I repair it ,or what r my options ?
