here is my project, have been slowly finding the pieces to put it back together. 6" chop, 4" channell, recessed floor, suicide doors, '32 shell. Have been working on a new frame for it, hopefully have a y-block and 5 speed when it is done. traditional with a twist. Have other projects that need to be done first, so progress has been slow on this one, but I want it done yesterday.......Scott
This is as far as I've got I've always thought, with early cars, the firewall is in a way the core of the car that determines its iden***y. I'd include the frame, but A frames are so simple and easy to reproduce. On the other hand it's interesting how we speak of an A on Deuce rails: A British Vintage fan in the VSCC tradition would be more inclined to call it a 1932 Ford with a Model A body on it. For one the car is the body and has the frame; for the other it is the frame and has the body. I'm wondering if both would agree about what the car is if the A body had a Deuce firewall on it. Be that as it may. I've got the A firewall, so I'm calling the project an A and, quite arbitrarily, a '31.
I'm in! Here's a link to our 1931 Model A: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217894
