HELP 59/60 chevy wagon or elcamino guys

Trying to help a friend with his 60 wagon, somone has removed the tailgate and had piano hinged the gate at the top. He is wanting to put it to stock, he has the hinges and a nice gate(old one was rotted and they had made a frame around window). We are really in need of some pictures of the underside so we can see where the hinges mount to the body as they have removed any signs of where they once went. Thanks in advance guys

A service or ch***is manual would show it.

You probably see little evidence of where the hinge mounts as most of it p***es through the outside of the gate. They probably filled that and used the piano hinge to slick the tail gate.

 

this is the view, sitting in the bed, looking down at the gap between the bed and the gate.

 

Get your die grinder out and start digging.
