Good morning, Checking in to see if the dates for the 2011 Key to the Hills Rod Run in Boerne,TX have been set as well as where/how to register for same. Thanks
Only rained one time on us and we go every year. Its a good show and the cruise is out of site.We made reservations 2 months ago.Hope to see a bunch of Hambers there.
You were lucky , rained on me 4 years in a row ! The 1st year I was in my roadster ! & I welcome the rain after this hot ass summer ! We rented a house with my cousin this year !
Sent my pre reg today ! WOOT WOOT ! Im pulling a trailer ( 45 Harley 3wheeler box ) so my wifey can take 8 pairs of shoes to a 3day event !
We drove down last year, it was beautiful weather. Great little town atmosphere. Stayed with my dad in San Antonio and cruised up each morning. Later, Mark
I will go rain or shine. One year had the heaviest rain I have ever been in and I am from Port Arthur!
Yea, I went. Got the whole show in before it started coming down pretty good. Lots of nice cars but damn I was sick of the torque thrusts, seemed like every other car had them.
#133, but we was rained out on Sat and, although we paid for Fri nite dinner in our registration we weren't sent any tickets (sigh). I'm pedaling a '36 Ford sleeper (aka resto-rod underneath / looks and is totally original on top) and find my attention to originality (including interior but for the underneath-smile) goes largely unappreciated. Maybe I need some torque thrusts and some billet. I'll be in Floresville the weekend of Oct 22/23 if any HAMBers are interested...
I was P.O.'d like everyone else. Bad as we need the rain, I was really looking forward to getting in a good drive in my 40 cheeby. Didn't happen. I agree with above, tons of T.Q.'s and a lot of billet on some really nice rides. Seems like the true pre 49ers are giving up and just using catalog stuff rather than try to find original (even if it isn't perfect) parts.. Too much magazine influence------------- Cooger
Really !I was #134 Lots of nice cars with shitty billet wheels from the 90's. Also lots of crazy old streetrod graphics.
I was number 259 or something. Had a nice ride and got to walk the whole thing. The wife was going to check out more shops but between me talking to people and getting traped at lunch in the Kendall Inn for 1.5 hours, we just got up and left to avoid more rain. Saw some traditional, patina rides but I am really not a street rodder. I have little interest in power windows and power trunk openers. The were some outstanding homebuilt and original cars there. Nice people and a nice setting. My favorite run!! I wish we had HAMB id's on the cars. I would have made an effort to introduce myself if I knew I was meeting another HAMBer. I have an old sticker somewhere I need to put on mine so I am guilty as well.
