Great pics!! Seemed kind of small this year and parts were pretty pricey but worth the drive from the frozen north. Really wanted the Mcgurk dual manifold and original Fenton splits for my pickup but $550 was out of my budget.
I didn't find the brakes I was looking for. Probably going to be a pull a part find. I did get a set of m/t valve covers for the big block though.
Okay fordnutz - one last bunch of pics with some variety. All were for sale. Sorry about this shot. I positioned myself on the bright side of this yellow and white '56 Ford. While I was squatting there, a lady started cleaning a hubcap on the Chev at the left. I thought she might finish in short time, but no, she was very thorough in her cleaning habits. I am a patient fellow but finally I just thought, "To heck with it", and fired my camera anyway! Woops - I'm being told that's the limit for one post. Four more I want to add so I'll add one more short reply.
Anyone who says there's no parts left at the swap meets should follow this guy around! Every time I saw him he had a different armload of stuff. Nice seeing you Chris, and Xoot great pics man, thanks for the effort. Tim
Came home Saturday with an empty styrofoam coffee cup and an expired parking stub. But had a really good time, saw lots of friends, enjoyed the weather and got some good exercise. The car corral did seem down a little from past meets and the prices seemed up some on the more finished cars. Project cars were all over the place price wise. Seemed to be a lot of parts heading out the gates in new hands.
Looked like a great swap meet. We've got one more 'national' rod-related swap in two or three weeks time (last year's weather was bright and sunny like yours), then that's it until our big one next March. Still, I've spent out over the last few months so apart from one big pre-arranged spend, that's it for me this year - time to get on with with what I've already got in the garage.
Great pictures and thanks for taking the time to post them. I had planned to go but didn't make it. At least I had your pictures to see what it was like. I will be there for the May swap meet!
I really liked this sprint car rear axle assembly. A quick change with massive discs. It was kinda' narrow, but would look good behind a Track-T.
