My friend just bought this creature.
It has been turned into hot rod here in Finland in the late 50`s and then updated once in a while. It now has chevy six and 3-speed + Ford banjo rear. The question is does anyone know the original wheel bolt pattern for 30`Hudson?
    It has six bolts anyway.

Most Hudsons were 4.5 inch bolt pattern. I have some 36 terraplane wheels that are 4.5.

A friend of mine recently sold his 32 Es***. It had a 48-54 Chevy front axle, and a 56 Chevy rear end. he said both were a straight bolt-in. Might be worth looking into. Es*** and Hudson were very similar.

probably at least a '36-7 from looking at my history of hudson book, that's when they introduced the 2 piece windshield, the fenders look around that era also...

Yeah i agree. The grille is neat and it`s somebodys own design. When you look close, you can see weldings. Not some bolt-on show&shine piece of s¤&t equipment. Btw the whole front section is all steel, somebody has really been hot roddin` in those days.

Very nice lines! I love it. Just when I think Americans are the only hot rodders in the world, the Swedes, Norwegians and Finns come up with some kick-*** hot rod and custom stuff. This car took some time and imagination to build, if not cubic dollars. I'd be proud to ride in it.
By the way, why haven't we seen any Russians posting here on the HAMB?

V8 CSB or Buick 401-425 nailhead.
Change wheels, get off fenders and bumpers.
    Paint matt yellow and black.
Mufflers without silencer. maybe straight side tubes.

I tried to look at the pictures and apparently you need to register at the site to see them only it is impossible because you can't read the black writing on a dark brown background.???

We not cutting or change anything what is impossible change back.
All parts what we get off is bolt on and everyone can paint original colour later.
Engine and rear axle is not original so that´s not matter if we change that.
Someone is put two radiators behind the grill! [IMG]

    What?!?

These changes will cause much super sadness in HAMB-land.

You are insane to take the fenders off this car. INSANE, you crazy Fin. [IMG]

I think you should keep it closer to the original hot rod version. It is COOL as-is.

    What a cool car.
I second what yorgi said, don't change a thing man.
I'm a straight six Chevy man, those engines rule, they'll run forever with 5 psi oil pressure.

    I love your car, it's a treasure.

Please, I beg of you, don't change it.
It's piece of history, changing it would be like repainting the Sistine Chapel's ceiling.

PLEASE, don't change it, it would be a sin.

  27. Your right stating that Volga,s are,nt beautiful but you can,t knock the Volga V12 coupe.(BMW ch***is)
