    Howdy! I've been lurking for a while and read some instructions. So here's my introduction.

    I really admire the cars and trucks and artwork here although I don't have a rod and don't have any talent - except if I keep practicing with GIMP I might be able to dip my toe in the Photoshop thread. I've helped friends with a little rodding stuff - enough to know that helping is way easier than doing your own. I'm 56 and I'm doing what they call early retirement. So I'm saving my pennies and maybe I can get a project to try to learn on someday.

    Thanks for all the welcomes, everyone. Fitzgerald, I posted a couple of my GIMP results near the end of the Photoshop thread this morning, but I have to warn you they're not good. I'm teaching myself how to use the GIMP by basically pushing ****ons and clicking options and seeing what happens.
