Here's mine I dragged home a few years ago. 37 International long panel. Currently sitting under tarps waiting for me to see if it'll "Buff right out"! LOL
Here's my heap, just finished after a 3 year slog, hoping to pop her cherry in the next few weeks.351..C4...9" rear. UPDATE..........118mph @ 11.1 seconds in the 1/4
Not much to look at in the pic, but I sure saw a cool rod to be had. Just couldn't get the deal to make it mine, but sure like the look of this panel............
Mine was very similar, only in white. It was a Clark Lift service truck. It had the granny-gear 4-speed in it and a Pontiac 6 that blew oil out of every pore and crevice. Swapped in a good old 283, cheapo S&K speed headers, ran them open of course. It was in surprisingly good shape, but with the 5.57 rear gears, all wound up by 50 mph. I traded it for an OT '67 Fury in amazing condition. My ex may have some shots of it, but I an't gonna ask... Bob
Here's my before and now pic. Last one was taken about an hour ago after putting all the trim and lights back on it after painting.
Here is mine at a little drag event in Norton Kansas this summer. Owned this about 20 years. Got it's flames in '94.
Here's the '65 C10 Panel I bought back in Jan and have been working on. Updating all the suspension and brakes, PS, etc.
Could have had a 57 Panel truck, probably for a couple of hundred, years ago, but never followed through. Would have put a Lincoln 368 and hydro in it, then have CIGARS and pics of stogies on the side panels. Would have been called the PANEL BUS! Guess I can dream and when one comes up, gopher it!
Here is my '31 Special Delivery. My dad bought it in the late '70s. It is the real deal, and is not a fake. Its starting to show some age and wear, but Its still cool!
Here is my 38 ford panel...these are the pics that were in the add, it's being built by another HAMB member.
Pic's of my 1929 Deluxe Delivery, also at one time I had a 1929 1/2 ton Panel body. but it was missing most of the right side. I am curious where it ended up as the person I sold it to slod it a short time later and passed away about a month after that. Rod
Sold this '41 in 1972. Have never again seen it. Hosted on Fotki The '56 was Buick powered and had been around the NW forever. I sold it in about '96 and it went to Central Oregon. I'm not much at taking pictures of my own junk. Mike Hosted on Fotki
Here's Moby, my 1936 C-15 International panel with 10' cargo area (fenders off in this photo) that was my daily for a while, which means driving in PA snow. I drove Moby all over the US and Canada in the 70's/80's with a 430 Buick drive train, 40 gallon gas tank, red plexiglass roof insert and a real comfortable bed. I never got around to the details -- like upholstery, weatherstripping, heater or nice paint -- but I think I had more fun than my friends did sitting in their lawn chairs at shows waiting to brag about their rarely driven garage queens. In '82, the day after returning from a 11,000 mile 5 week trip to the west coast, I drove my bug splattered truck (lotsa bugs between the Rockies and PA!) to our car club meeting. It was a gorgeous summer evening and the location was totally secure but nobody else drove their rods! Before the meeting some of the guys were hanging around my truck asking me about the trip when another guy, who owned a gorgeous car that rarely saw the light of day, walked up and said "when are you gonna paint that thing?" Since he obviously didn't bother to hide his disdain for my unfinished ride, I said "when are you gonna drive yours?" That was my last club meeting, I just didn't belong with that crowd. I clocked a total of 85,000 miles on the truck before parking it in '84 when I started a business and I never really got back to it since then because I always get distracted by other projects like the roadster in the pic, then my avatar and now another roadster. Hey, it's not my fault, I have a disease!!!
