Let's all show up at the September Paso.............................Let's hear it. I've heard it all last year. Oh, i was getting ready for the Primer Nationals (i got ready too by putting gas in my car), It's too expensive (entry AND rooms are half price or less), it's such a small show (that very at***ude is why). It's still a great drive to a great town. Let's just go. Penny says this is it. If this September is weak, she's done. That ****s! Let's give our support as well as having a great stepping stone to NEXT Memorial day show.
I been say'n that for years. Same town. Same Cruise. Same park. Same Sat. night concert. Lower Prices in hotels etc. no 3 night minimum Just less gold chainers. And this year we're gonna chop a top over the weekend. What a blast Craig
I love the Sept. show, more low key. Hope it keeps going, last year was really small which was to bad, though I must admit I did not have a car there myself....
I agree with all the above, the Labor Day show is nice, low key, and just as fun as the Memorial Day show, hopefully this won't be the last one, I spoke with Penny @ Vegas and she told me that, I'm not sure why people don't go, I've been every year since it was in Los Banos, @ the fairgrounds, had a ton of fun everydamntime I went. That's my $.02 Skip
Hmmm.....well I bailed on the Mem. Day show because I won't have my junk together, but Labor Day.... I'll have to look at my schedule. The next year or so at work is going to be crazy, lot's of OT, but I'm banking it for my project so not all is lost!
I like the Sept. show smaller but it was cool this year I will actually take a car! guess I better book a room now.
The great thing about the Fall show (and as a local I always go) is that all of the scenesters stay home, I think they go bowling with the Chainer crowd. It is a great cruise (though last year it "closed" early...but on the upside I was actually told, along with EvilT, that our "hot rod shenanigans" would not be tolerated". It was a highlight) I can't recommend the Fall show enough and with HAMB support maybe it can grow but still stay a real show for great people and great cars. True
It is a good show..Low Key...We had some great cars there..You could park on the gr*** without a line at 7 a.m. Got a room at the Paso Inn the same day as the cruise. walked up and they had rooms and you only needed to stay one night. People still hung out at the gas station and Paso Inn parking lot. They did end the cruise early though due to lack of participation...The Weather is good that time of year in Paso too..EVILT
Cool, i might have my other ride ready for that, actually thats pretty damn unlikly, but i still have the galaxie!
Several guys from the Vipers used to go to the Fall paso gig when it wasn't on Labor Day. Labor Day is when I have a festival to attend, so I've missed it. It's always been one of the best shows, ever. Rich & Penny do a great thing for us and ,if possible, we all should go. It's small, you can easily come and go (lots of cool drives in the winery country) and the town loves us. cp
