Fhanks fer Tha' Pics....................Sorry I coulfent Bee Thar this Year........ Hershey Isw Great............ Smokey2
BTW, that 'Vette was bad ***. Really, really cool. I saw it in the White Field getting some after judging prep done to it. Thing sounded killer. Does anyone have a picture or pictures of the race cars; in particular B. Meyer's? I was there on Friday and didn't get to the stadium until late afternoon. Seeing the race cars is one of favorite parts of Hershey.
What's with the '34 Ford fender skirts? Never saw a pair before, and then saw four pairs at Hershey, including the car in your pics. Did someone just start making them, or have they all come out of the barn at the same time?
Cool pics, thanks for posting. I've never been. My boss has been going for yrs. & yrs. but he's a Pierce Arrow guy not a "Hot Rodder".
The black '57 Corvette is a REAL airbox fuel car, one of maybe 43 built. I'm overloaded, can't wait for next year. Excellant weather!! I think '37Kid did put me in charge of the weatehr so I'll take credit for it.
Thanks for posting the pics, I didn't take many. The weather was perfect this year, the best that I can recall since I first went in 1973. I was identified by The37Kid (was wearing my HAMB uniform)and signed the HAMB banner. Hershey should be on everyone's list at least once.
20 grand 32 roadster.paying for ratchet straps and some rust that looked like a 32 ford. for 6500 i think it woulda been an ok deal. real cool indian 49 bmw with some custom coach work 3 grand merc.he said 3500 with the trailer 550,000 dollar 1926 dusenburg with bad body work on the front fenders this 392 hemi was shoe horned into a 40 ford coupe 3 chromed bxov2 carbs i scored
Me and my dad went Wednesday and Thursday. met some folks from the Hamb got some ideas for my model A coup and bought some hemi heads and had a good time. I was also told by one vendor that if you don't go to Hershey you are not a true car guy.
I had a great time-saw a lot in one full day plus the judged cars, but not all!. That Veritas/BMW was something weird, but fascinating. I wonder what it will bring at auction? I saw one guy in a chopped, hotrodded metalic blue Ford getting kicked out-I wondered how he ever got in. Great show-on to 2012.
I was there Tues thru Friday......met a lot of great car people from all over the country and the world....from what I heard a lot of cars were sold to the Swedes ..... BTW...whats a good Kelsey Hayes 40 spoke bring these days??
My 42'nd Hershey in a row, had a GREAT TIME! Sure was nice to see all the HAMB folks that stopped by. I made some room in the garage but did buy a few needed items. Best buy was a pair of BLC headlights for the '30 Roadster from a lifelong friend just 3 spaces away. We both drove 4 hours to get to Hershey but live 20 minutes away. Next year my 1912 T will be 100 years old and I plan to bring it along, I should finish the Lyndwood too, it would be 50 years since it last ran in compe***ion. If you haven't been to Hershey, you need to get there, it don't cost that much, and everyone has a good time.
Camping out is the way to go if you don't mind a little hike to the showers. Of course you could have a "chainer" motorhome with yer own shower taking up 5 spaces.......... Sold enough junk to pay for the spaces. Old timers on both sides of me don't show up anymore so I think I'll inquire about those spaces and put my wagon and trailer in sideways next year. Then one of you guys can have them when I croak.... One year we had snowflakes, this year we were using sun tan lotion
my friend and i left canonsburg pa wed. evening for a 2 days of walking on thurs/fri. we planned to sleep in my S10 thurs nite but near carlise we started calling motels. called 6, all had rooms. ended up in a Days Inn for 59 bucks. i guess all the empty spaces equal empty motel rooms.
I've got pics of the historic race cars, including what you want....will post them and others..... CB
I did the whole magilah from Weds. to Sat.. Yes, I'm sore as Heck but it was a treat like no other. My first time, too! I'm afraid that ten years from now it all will be just a memory. Lots of scooters, electric wheel chairs and walking ***istance seen all over the place. The old gang is getting old!

I've got some video I'll post later.
Awesome pics! My dad and I had a great time at Hershey this year. We were venders, but spent most of our time walking the fields, we put out an honesty box for money and didnt get ripped off, it restored our faith in humanity.
I bought a set of 4 kelsey-hayes 40 bent spoke 16" wheels, cream powder coated, with rings,32 caps and 16" big little tires. I bought these on wednesday. What a great time we had and best weather yet. sam
Great pics! I really wanted to go as I've never been to Hershey before. Since it was the last year for the Pileup and I've never been there either....I just had to go. Hershey next year for sure!!
