I just picked up some Blitz Black paint from the local John Deere dealer today, as I am getting close to painting the top of my '63 Biscayne. On the can it says to mix 10-1 with reducer, but nothing about adding hardener.. I can't believe that it would be sprayed without adding hardener. Any help here?? Thanks, Bob
Yes with or without hardener. My 53 Henry J is painted with it. I did it in the garage that was converted to a spray booth a few years ago. I think the whole paint job cost me $47 including the John Deere primer and thinner. It lasts but I'm over it and getting ready to strip it and repaint it with something else. It's real thin and please use a good mask. Also the sheen will dull out after it cures. I hated it at first but after it bake in the sun a few days I loved it.
Thanks for all the help and info on this Blitz JD paint! Following up, I used 10 parts paint, 1 part reducer, and 3 parts hardener... It laid down nice, and looks real good so far. (Just sprayed it yesterday) Cheers......
