Thanks to the chrome Czars and the Red Shirts for a great show! I've been lucky to see the last six shows, all great. Enjoy! http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/sharing/shareRedirectSwitchBoard.jsp?token=777475982409%3A985124047
I know this might be a reach, a friend at work is starting a 26 T coupe build and I showed him a picture of the orange T coupe with the Hemi motor that was at the PILE-UP and he went wild. Does anyone know the owner, possibly he's a HAMBer ? if you have his contact info and he's cool about talking to a guy with a thousand questions, PM me his info so I can p*** it on PLEASE. Thanks a ton, MItch.
That T is out of St Louis I believe. Creative Customs. Yup. Here you go. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Creative-Customs-Chop-Shop/107602195976790
Nice pics but I got a question. Did the gates get looser this year with what they let in? I seen a muscle car and a lot of chrome wheels that I thought in past years where kept out.
Thanks for bringing the show to us. Did you get to see any of the cars NOT through the camera lens? That had to be a lot of work.
I will be there next year! Just keep saying i'm going to make it....then I see pics on the hamb. Damn it! missed it again....next year haha
Look for a full feature in Traditional Rod and Kulture Illustrated, some time in the near future.. I shot it after the pile Up. Don't tell anyone. Spike
Thanks for the pics. All great inspiration...now where is my old shotgun, my truck needs a ne shifter!
I have 2 hours of entry on video - they turned away many cars. I personally saw a car sneak in the back gate at 230pm I saw it get turned away in the morning......... some people refuse to respect the rules that have been laid down.
Nope. What you were looking at was probably the "VIP section" for rejected cars. It was right next to the entry gate... OR... the pics were taken after we abandoned the gates late in the day. Every year rejected cars take that opportunity to sneak in, but when the show is over at 5, there's no point in manning the gate after 2:30. FWIW, there is absolutely nothing wrong with chrome wheels! Modern designs, modern diameters, and billet, however, are a problem
when you access the Kodak website, they give you the option to view as a slideshow, but just click the 'x' in the box and surf the pics.
I rolled outta bed at 5AM, thru the gate at open, breaks for lunch, libations, music, and home after dark. Got my fill. I like to take the pics for my screensaver and wallpaper while at my desk. I'd rather be driving a roadster, but I'll count this as research...
Your cammer made my day. I pulled together a lot of cammer info over the years (the HAMB helps!), but the Hot Rod mag from '65 is chock full o' info (see the HRCC cammer thread). Check out some of it on my Google Picasa. https://picasaweb.google.com/109425813485201163426/Ford427SOHCWeb#
I have been a over a year trying to get the cammer out of the shop and on the road. I still have some kinks to work out of the old car but so far so good. glad you liked it that makes my day 156 more payments and she's all mine
