A Rare 1950's CA Built Custom Roadster Shows Up in Hershey

Last Sunday while walking the GG Hershey show I stumbled upon this little gem and I thought I'd share some photos. The owner was not around to ask any questions of. Perhaps someone here has more details. Beside all the dirty little roadsters, this was the highlite of the GG show for me.

They've got the old mag it was in it looks like, but where's the new one that just came out?!

 

That car is beyond fabulous, I'd kill for it.

That's Mike Acerra's car! It was in issue #1 of Traditional Rod and Kulture. I shot it....Thats how I know. I'm not usually this smart...

Mike is a cool guy. His son was there also with the flamed black chopped Ford Van. It won an award and Kirk posted a pic of it in his GG post. They live in Allentown PA

 

I believe he showed up at the Showdown last year....Killer lil car...it was really kool to see in person..

i'm pretty sure I saw one of those bodies on ebay several months ago, it was really, really rough, sitting on a dodge frame I think? The frontend was different, the headlights were on the fenders, but it had those cutdown doors, and those fins.

 

That's the coolest thing I've seen on here in months. Damn!

a cut down Crosley bakelite radio.

 

Fibergl*** bodies and billet alternator brackets - I thought that would get you banned from this place.
