I'm the granddaughter of the inventor and manufacturer of Teleoptic directional signals, Bornett L. Bobroff of Racine, Wisconsin. I got a real kick out of reading your story! If you're interested in more about him, along with photos of Teleoptic lights, you can see them on my website here: http://annebobroffhajal.com/2010/05/mysteries-of-my-grandfather-introduction/ Any feedback or further info about his turn signals is welcome. Happy collecting. Anne
It's terrific to see the Fog King lights made by my grandfather B. L. Bobroff's company, Teleoptic. Do know what year these were made? Thanks! Anne Bobroff-Hajal
What a gorgeous light! I've never seen one like it. It looks like a Teleoptic, but is it? Anne Bobroff-Hajal http://annebobroffhajal.com/2010/05/mysteries-of-my-grandfather-introduction/
I have this light on our Model A, have no idea what it is but it seemed perfect for where we put it. I did see another one pop up on ebay but the seller didn't seem to know what it was either, but he really liked it.....
Hi Anne, welcome .. How did you find us here, just a google search I suppose ? Yes, the tag on the BLUE light says Teleoptic
I don't know whether you're still looking for info on your Teleoptic light. If so, you can find it here: http://annebobroffhajal.com/2010/05/mysteries-of-my-grandfather-introduction/ Anne

i tried to P/M him on our site {HC.com} & we're having server problems over there to..i starting to think it's steam powered???
so many cool taillights.. enjoy the stop and go traffic the skull tail light seems so modern..i guess humans have a thing with there own mortality, arrrr me mateys. chris.
Here's one I posted when I first joined. Both lights illuminate, and it has a vacuum motor to make it swing when you let off the gas. It's made by DuaSaf.
im assuming that they did some research and realized the moving motion did not really make much difference and was more complicated expensive to make so they stop .. seems to me anything to get the attention of the idiot on the phone is good.. heh. cool tail light there. chris.
I have one of these as a 3rd brake light. It is a Delco R8-50. I am not sure what the original application was . This is only one with a red lense I have found.
Can anyone date the blue oval stop light? I have one very similar. It is a Beacon light, but the lense is a little more plain. I was just curious of the era. Thanks.
My grandfather gave me this one last year. He had it on his '49 (give or take a year) Pontiac fastback. Hangs in the back window and lights up green when you're on the gas, yellow when coasting, and red when the brakes are applied.
