heres the answer to ethanol killing our cars, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG8iR5DRLpw&feature=related
the ethanol is not the problem its storing things that is. i use it in my new cars,66 fairlane, mower, trimmer, chainsaw, motorcycle, three wheeler,52 wd allis chalmers tractor. no problems. period. if you let something sit, you can have problems. that can happen with non ethanol also. i'm not a huge ethanol advocate but it is keeping my area of the country alive. love it or hate it , its not killing your car.
Ooops! I've since fixed it. Hey I can swing wrenches, I never said I majored in spelling! Thanks for the heads up BISHOP
Only problem I ever had with E10 was it super cleaned all the old gas varnish and crap out of the tank, and fuel lines of an OT car that had been sitting for about 7 years. When all that goo plugged up the fuel filter-the car quit. New filter-clean fuel system-no problems. Ethanol will absorb moisture in your fuel system-never need gas line antifreeze here in the North if you run E10.
I'm still getting pure gas delivered to the house in bulk. However, I did have a Merc 40HP efi outboard take a dump because I didn't use it enough and the ethanol screwed up the innards. I ran my Zipper with a banger all over eastern Nebraska in June and other than crappy mileage, it ran fine on ethanol.
ihave learned to live with it my 6X2's have had it since it came out here the accelerator pumps swole up now i have leather i use top end jube little better gas milage 1oz full synthetic 2 cycle oil per 5 gal ou gas (stayes mixed) marine stable on anything that may sit over a weak or more it holds it for a year
