Help! Any HAMBer near St.Louis?

I may be going towards St. Louis next week, and need to know what's a good place to meet someone.

I'd be coming 70w and he'd be coming from 44e to I-55n to 70e

Is there anything I need to know.
bad area?
best place to meet?
anyone near there?

Would be friday sometime "possibly". Not this friday, next friday.

Stay on the Missouri side of the river. There are some not so great areas off of 70 but they are a little better than East St. Louis and that is usually where people get lost at when going across the river. Lots of strip clubs on the east side though. Are you talking about meeting at a restaurant or are you just exchanging parts or something?

 

theirs a bunch of places the arch is pretty hard to miss! HA isn't there a song or movie meet me in st louis? but um really the arch is a good place the road that goes below it on the north side has a huge factory parking lot you could meet at. i don't know the name of the road but its not hard to find its the only road between the arch ant the river.

 

That would be a good place to meet. Down by where the old McDonalds river boat use to be. Any where along there would be a good place to meet up with some one. North/South Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. is the road name. The President Casino is down there too.




I live South East of there about 35 min.

 

Don't try to meet anyone down on the riverfront, it's a pain to try and get back to the highway(s). The best bet is the exit at Collinsville, Illinois Rt 157, I-70 and I-55 are the same at that point. There's a White Castle there, feel the crave...

 

I agree Collinsville would be the best place The river is a ***** especially if your pulling a trailer. And you have to pay to get on the water front.

 

hell meet at my house i'm rite across the river in cahokia,il, about 5 miles from downtown st louis. safe area, a place to rest ur ***, hell i mite even let ya use the john if ya have too .

anyway if ya want to meet at my house its fine w/me & it aint like u wont be the 1st to do it, just Pm me if ur going to do it & i'll send u my address w/a mapquest map...joe

 

HAHA, tht's true... didnt' think of getting back on the highways. Joe's house is easy to find also. He usually doesn't bite and I believe all his shots are up to date
