Well we haven't had the greatest luck weather-wise in the month of May. You GMB's wanna give it another shot this upcoming Saturday, May 28th? 10am at the Exit Resturant which is located on the north-east corner at the Birch Run exit off I-75. I'll be there Anyone else?
I would like to motor up that way if we are'nt have tornadoes or hurricanes!!! Are we going to do anything after breakfast?? Maybe a shop or two. How about one of the cruise-ins Fat Hack was talking about Sat. evening?? That might be fun...we could drive the parking gestapo's into a mad frenzy!!!
...not to hijack, but... SPEAKING of Billetproof... anything fancy going on that Friday or Saturday night??? I'm looking to party! ..."where's my whiskey. I'm gonna get tore up!" -Meatwad
Friday nite is the supposed kick-off party at Boomer's bar loated on M-59 I believe. (Don't know the exact name) I have not heard one more peep regarding this besides what Boomer told me at the Detroit Autorama back in March. Major lack of advertising as far as I'm concerned. If your on the HAMB you know about the show but not about the kick off party?? What about all the other "local" traditional folks? I have seen no flyers handed out regarding BilletProof around at any of the cruzn nites or any of the traditional shows I've been to this spring. Nor did I receive any "flyers" to hand out. Maybe they are concentrating their publicity efforts north of town only?? I will call Boomer and check the Friday nite details with him next week. Anyway, that Saturday nite (of BilletProof weekend) there is a large cruz nite on Woodward Ave which I would escort out of towners to if you guys wanna do alittle cruzn Woodward that nite. Duggins Pub is located on Woodward and makes for a nice watering hole on Saturday nites because the top level has huge open windows and you can see and hear the action on the street. As far as this Saturday afternoon I have plans already to work on Big Olds in Roadstars shop and will be heading there after breakie but will maybe catch up with folks somewhere depending on what Rudy wants to do. It IS Saturday nite after all
Pre-Billetproof Party at Boomers... If any of you would be willing to post a poster or 30 in you neck of the woods, I would be much obliged... any takers? I could bring posters to Breakfast... Here's a preview:
Count me out. I've got a gig on the west side of the state and we have to leave my place by 1pm. That wouldn't give me much time to spend BSing with everyone. Hope to see you all at Billetproof. I understand they'll have some killer bands there, and they said if we pay 'em enough they might even let US play.
Bring some to breakfast, and I'll get 'em from Skinny Hack or Dirty T, and I'll represent in Flint town....
I'm planning on it. Besides I need to stop at Frank's Antique Auto to pick up some stuff. Who knows .... we might even see one of those new oversized T kit cars there
Bring a few with you. I can post one here at work, (got car guys that work here) and also at the Autoparts store I hang out at and one at Rudy's shop, plus Rudy might have a few other spots on his side of town that would hang one up.
I'm planning on going. It will be nice to see everyone who can make it. Man, this last winter and lousy spring has been a bummer. let the summer begin. Frank
I'd love to go to breakfast...but I gotta work...sorta.......maybe billetproof if I get the generator on my Toyota in time. Old Skool jap cars are OK, arent they??? It has REAL PATINA....REAL RUST HOLES....and faded paint!!!!
damn- I wanted to make it but it looks like I won't be able to. If anyone wants to grab me a handful of posters, I can post 'em here at work (there's about 15,000 people that work here in this one building), which will cover most of all the car guys here in Auburn Hills, I'm sure. Hope you guys have a good time.
.....are you fuckin CRAZY????This Saturday, everybody who is anybody will be having brecky in Lawrence, Kansas at the traditional hotrod/custom happening. Sheesh! The event starts on Friday and winds down on Sunday. See ya there.
Yep. Just got mine yesterday. They have Autorama coverage including the pinstrippers. You and Caffine and maybe some others are pictured.
wow, very cool...i know caffiene, psychoarts, and myself were all in the same pinstripe cubby. thanks for the heads- up rich!!!
Kritz, I haven't read my Rod and Custom yet but if your picture if in there put me in line for an autograph and picture. I'll put it in my office right next to the signed picture of Jeff Gordon, Terry LaBonte, Ken Schrader, and myself having lunch at Hendrick Motorsports. Stick with me, I'll make you famous. Just look what happened to those three. Frank .
BTTT for those of you (us ) with short memories. Remember we are meeting at the EXIT DINER on the northeast corner of the Birch Run exit..
Hatch, that's the one. so ,you have any idea what it took to get to wait their table? It was worth it though, they are big tippers. Frank
