I'm pretty sure there won't be many or any car events going on in the winter, but if you have any advice, or just want to meet up for a beer and talk cars (I do not speak German at all), I'll be there from the 15th-21st.
Some car clubs have Christmas parties around that time. I´ll keep my ears open and let you know. I´m about 50 miles east of Munich , you´re always welcome to come by, let´s have a beer and talk cars. The Draggers CC are from Munich and have their shop and Garages right in the center, maybe they´ll be there for a visit too I´ll let you know ! Chris
You might want to visit the Technical Museum at Sinsheim. Unbelievable. Everything there from Gotlieb Daimlers wooden motorcycle to fuel dragsters and funny cars. It is south of Koln (Colonge) I go to Heidelburg and take the train over from there. There is even a Hotel at the museum where you can stay. Plan at least a day. if you dont stay at the hotel and have your bag with you they will store them for you if you ask when you buy your tickets at the museum. Should probably learn a little German. Same root as English so it isnt too hard to become functional. (yeah -ja, no- nay(or nein) thine-dein, mine -mein etc Don They have the Blue Flame LSR car there as well. When the Deutschlanders do a technical museum they dont fool around. Many displays are interactive. I was shocked to find my "lil' ol school marm" wife running a German tank and swinging the gun turret while the tracks clattered away and the engine roared. You wont believe it!
Ciao! Maybe a bit late: December 17th: X-Mas Party @ Custom Parts & Wear (Shop) in Mellingen (Switzerland), just a one hour drive from the boarder to germany. www.c-pw.ch
