I've been here a little while and I just got member status... so here is what the HAMB is to me.. *cue sappy music* It inspires me to draw, especially when someone pays, but even just seeing all these cars (the greatest collection of quality built cars on the internet), makes me pick up the pencil... The hamb gives me confidence as I build my pickup, knowing that if I hit a brick wall someone out there will help me out, offering me advice or oddball parts for the price of shipping. Telling me I'm a total dumb*** for even considering some particular option. Anyway, thanks to the collective HAMB, that's enough warm fuzzy stuff... here's a little "not so distant" HAMB history. (don't worry about the bandwith, imageshack is hosting)
very nice, i drew a '28 today, and it actually looked really good ,BUT i made a few "angles" wrong and just went with it...so it's all in different perspectives..... one day i'm gonna get someone to draw my '36 as good as that......
Nate the work is looking good, now a bunch of Kansas hambers will be showing up to my party, drinking my beer, eating my food, chasing my wife, and making a general mess around my house!!!! That's cool I guess. We need to set a date for a Kansas Hamber get together, there are enough of us around here to get something going. Maybe a garage crawl, something like that. Farmall
Nate- your drawings rock, "member"... I plotted your rendering of The Green Grenade on 24x36 mylar to hang in my shop, I need to kick some royalties your way. Kansas HAMBer BBQ! Let's stop talking about it and do it! I offer up my place. Let's pick a date.
Pete.. I should have posted your address so everyone knows where the beer is I'm game for a garage crawl! the hotrod barn is almost finished... 1500 sq feet of hotrod mayhem!!! Nosurf, no royalties needed, but if you want to make me a copy fom my garage I wouldn't turn it down...
