I just bought a 62 ford falcon and the previous owners had not driven the car in the last 6 months. Battery was dead so we were using a battery charger/starter to turn it over. We have fuel at the carb and spark on all 6 spark plugs.... It's cranks but still nothing... I'm not at my wits end yet and I havent purchased any parts yet. Was thinking of getting new plugs to start and some hot shot for the carb to see if that fires it up.

Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated before I start digging into this.

    Thanks

I presume that you have seen no life. Dead gas? the light volatiles are the first to go, but 6mos isn't ridiculous extreme. Does it smell sour? Possible all 6 plugs fouled....maybe pull a couple. A good spark in the cylinder and not flooded...it should at least make some noise. If not that... a badly stretched timing chain is probably worse case....good hunting

I was thinkn all six fouled myself.... I put fuel in it... Seems clean. The previous owners actually installed a new gas tank, lines, and fuel pump. When we turn it over there are times it seems like it wants to start, but doesn't. Yeah could be a timing issue... I'm hoping not of course.

Oh I apologize for the please help, my girlfriend put that for the post ***le, lol... Didnt catch that!

    Thanks
