Fellow Hot Rodders. I'm looking for a set of headlights for my 1939 Ford standard front end. I was wondering if anyone could give any recommendations for the best headlight ***embly on the market? I have checked out Juliano's, Bob Drake & Vintique. I believe Bob Drake sales the Vintique headlight ***embly so those two are the same. I'm not crazy about the overall look of the Juliano's. I'm looking for more of the old school look. Whatever I go with I would like to have the turning signal in the bottom of the headlight ***embly where most are in the top.

Bottom line: Looking to purchase original looking headlight ***embly with turning signal on bottom of headlight ***embly.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

I used to have a '39 Standard. When I got the car it had some kind of ugly sealed beam conversion set-up on it. I converted it back to original with parts I found here and on Ebay. I never saw anything like you are talking about.
I didn't have turn signals on my car but when I was thinking about installing them I was going to run them in the parking light spots.

I've got a 40, and tho not the same, i just drilled a hole in the headlight bucket, added a bulb holder and made a cover to keep it water tight.

I have seen a suzuki motorcycle headlight used that is as you described. Or mini cooper. From what I have heard, it takes some modifying for fit.
