HAMB Bag Northwest Request

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tony Bones, Apr 25, 2005.

  1. Ryan, I understand that you need to be protective of the HAMB brand, so if there's anything about this idea that doesn't fly, please let me know.

I picked up this little gem from Shiny and would like to have a HAMB Bag party. Of course I'd buy all the needed components (bags, pump, valves) and I'd hook up one hell of a BBQ too. Shit, I'd even get T-Shirts done for everyone if one of you graphic design folks could set up a logo.

Foresaken Few has offered up his garage/driveway and welder. I've got the rest of the needed tools.

It'd be rad to meet a bunch of you guys. Anyone interested in doing this towards the end of May? Photodumped pic. attached for motivation. I'll have the new shoes ready to go on her then and the roof will be getting a little somethin' too :)

I'll show up ,as long as it's not over Memorial weekend or the weekend of the Monroe swapmeet. :D

I can weld pretty good and I can wire the electrics like a mofo.

  8. I'd love to help out. I live pretty close to Tony (I think, Ballard, right?), so I assume Forsaken is nearby too. Let me know what tools you need, I might have 'em. I've got a 220 pwr. mig welder too if it's needed.

  9. Sounding good so far guys. Yep, I'm right in Ballard. Erik is in Maple something-or-other, like 10 minutes away.

Josh, having someone around who can wire wouldn't hurt...cuz it ain't me. I figure by the time we get to that point, I'l have Erik pretty well lit up, so his skills may be, uh, somewhat diminished.

FED, we'd love to have you. Bring the biggest hammer you own :)

have you hammered out a date yet?

  11. The date has been hammered. Sunday, June 5th. If it rains, we'll bring the car, the food and the stripper in the garage.

Anybody have a cute sister who needs a little extra bread?

Damn. I'll be on the road by then (moving back to SC end of MAY). Sorry I didn't find the HAMB sooner so I could get to know you guys out here! I would've just been in the way anyway. :D Make sure someone brings a camera or two and post pics!

Tony! Rambler Brother! Got something for you, if you want it...

I can bring it down to HotRodARama with me.

Nice car, nice color too. Hope you don't mind that mine'll be the same!

Does this car have trunion front susp and a torque tube, or is that the year they went all modern? I bagged my '64 Ambassador. Hasn't seen the road yet, so might not be the best setup to copy. If yours is olde time suspension I can at least give you some rough measurements and pics so you know what to expect. Looking forward to the build pics of yours to check my work against. One of the tech help guys at Morrison did a 63 wagon a couple years ago.

Very unlikely I'll make it for the bagging, the way things are going. But if you need pics or contact numbers for parts, lemme know.

    Good luck,
    TR

  21. Bump. We're about one month out and in good shape.

    -Date: June 5
    -Location (Forsakenfew's place)
-I picked up the car last week and it's in good mechanical order. A prime canidate.
-I've got all the bag stuff
-Wheels and tires are ready to go on

I'm block sanding and priming over Memorial Day Weekend (wife and kids out of town) Depending on Loogy's schedule, the car may or may not be in paint for the bagging. Either way, it's going to be fun.

Oh, arrangements for the stripper have been made :)

  22. I may be in....Or I may be going to paso, I don't know yet. Eric, you fall off the wagon again? :D

  25. About two weeks out guys. Put in your request for the day free to the girlfriend/wife now.

I'd like to roll over if you dont mind one more....

  27. One more? Shee-it, we'll take 20 more.

  28. I'm still planning on being there. I gotta biz trip in Wichita next week, but will be back Fri. So if you change plans or otherwise need to communicate with me, I will get the message Sat. at the latest. I will be bringing the laptop though, so depending on hook ups at the hotel (and how drunk I am when I check in for the night :D ) I may be taking a peek now and then at what's going on.

If I didn't scare you with the Rambler fanboy bit, you better PM me the info too. Sometimes I think I gotta cut back on the caffiene.

Not sure yet if I can make it, but I will need to take the Riv for a highway shakedown soon. Might as well have a destination.
