The last two years spent with this car have been nothing short of amazing... From a pile of parts to my ultimate roadster, I learned a ton, smashed my knuckles a few times, did a lot of head scratching, drove the wheels off it, learned some more, met great people, had a blast, and cursed a few times too. Her new owner is a hamb member and just a really great guy, hopefully they have some good times together too. Thanks to everyone on here who helped me out with parts/advice/encouragement, I really couldn't have built this car without this place.

Sad to see it go, but it's time to move on!

  2. Well onto bigger n better things. Some of us build cars and keep them forever and the rest of us buid 'em and send them off to a new home after the new has worn off and the need to build bites us in the *** one more time.

Your next one will be every bit as sweet as that one is.

I know how you feel, putting your heart and soul into a build...then making the tough decision to let it go. Something fresh and exciting is just waiting around the corner...at least that's what I'm still telling myself 3 1/2 years later. :)

The car is a knockout,,I would have a hard time parting with it but as nice as it is I'm sure something just as good,,or better is in the future. HRP

  7. I know a guy from OK that has a pretty slick A roadster or at least the beginnings of a pretty slick A roadster. I don't think he has much in it. Just think about it an A roadster on Deuce rails, full house flatty or better yet a built to the hilt olds. ;)

You ****er!!!! That was my car!!!!! I thought you wanted my '33 3w and told me to collect some more **** for it. Well what am I gonna do with that hunk of **** and this S.Co.T blower I just found at a garage sale. I'm miserable.

Happy for you and I know there will be even bigger things coming next. Hard act to follow but you'll blow us away again I'm sure.

As a newbie, your car is one of my favorites. I was able to look over it a lot when it was out at carlisle. The guy in the spot next to you jokingly told me if I looked at it any longer, I'd have to buy it. If only I had the cash.

Andy, i have to say what i'm sure you've heard many times since you finished this car. It's amazing!
Seriously, it's one of the cleanest most accurate true hot rod's i've seen and i'd say that regardless of who owned it or built it.
That being said, it's sad to see it leave the area, but, i'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Selling em ****s, but it also opens the door for others.
Best of luck man, and to the new owner, congratulations! You now own a very slick piece of modern history.

Beautiful car, I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as you obviously did.
Now is time to change the page in your mind's auto diary and look forward.

  14. Wow- how come I never saw that B4? Whoa.

Man, on the weekend I sold my daily driver V8 Ford of 25 years. At a dollar- fifty a litre, she had to go. Man, that car was like a lion a****st pigeons!

That has always been one of my favorite cars on here but like the others I'll be waiting to see what you come up with next. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the new owner washed the look at me I'm cool numbers off the doors though.

Part of dealing with this sort of thing is the realization that you now have room to create something else. Just don't do it in a foot of snow like you did your F1. :D

Wow, I will say "congrats" like a teenage girl who turns up the last sylable and makes it sound like a question...:D:(

I always took a looksy at your car for styling cues I could pick off and use and will miss the subtle but overall changes you would make. Good luck with the next one!

Oh and JJ, I will take that SCoT blower from ya!

Your thread ***le, with the number on the side of your car matching Dan Wheldon's, is eerily ironic. What a beauty, I'm sure you'll miss it for a long time to come...

Andy, the new owner has to be thrilled. I really like that car. The look of it changes so much by angling the windshield back.

That car is so spot on. Wish I would have gotten to see it in person.

I did a model similar to it a while back...
