I posted the link to that one in my post, the one just before yours. Ryan, I think, has the prerogative to create his own thread and the right to have completely missed the first one, if, in fact, that was what happened. Any ho, we got ya covered...
I'am glad that Tom is ok. I have never met him but I love his work. (Now my father knows why I 'am constanly getting on him about keeping the garage clean) Viva
Just heard about this from a good friend today(who owns a couple of 40s), and it ****s. I've never met Mr. Medley, but my friend was telling me what a great guy he is!
So sad to hear, but thank God he's ok! I've read many great stories about him over the years and his artwork is top notch!
So sad!!!! Tom is the nicest man!!! He came in to see my wife for minor surgery a couple years ago, and my wife told him i was into vintage cars, when he came back for his office visit he brought a bunch of STROKER MCGURK t-shirts!!! Very sad to hear this!!!
same here.sat and talked to him in motel lobby for quite a while, talked like we were old freinds who had known each other for years. so glad he is ok. CL*** ACT!!
Got an email about this from Alan Mayes and I was shocked. I don't know Tom personally but we all know his work and his contribution to the Hot Rod world. If anyone gets something going to help out, count us in!
A friend of mine (Bruce) has been there helping Tom and Gary with the cleanup. The garage has been cleaned and power washed, the old travel trailer has been hauled away, and the '40 is on rollers so at least it can be moved around. Apparently lots of artwork, correspondence, etc. of Tom's (irreplacable stuff) survived. Tom also got a visit the other day from Alex Xydias.
