A really refreshing look and stance for sure......I like it a lot. Looks like that baby has some strip time under it's belt, which makes it all the cooler.

Hope to see it at Turkey Run some day soon. Nice score. :)

I say drive it the way it is, don't change it too much...OK, do whatever you want, but I absolutely DIG the interior/those door panels are fantastic! That thing is way cool!

I would leave it alone. Fix whatever is broken and drive it. I noticed it on ebay too. I thought it was a kool car. I would hate to see it changed.

  14. Yea do that, then get rid of the chrome axle stuff, put some normal clear glass in there which will also get rid of those windshield stickers. Scrap the metalflake steering wheel, ditch the dual quads for a shiney Edelbrock, loose the four speed trans for a 700R4, can the rams horn manifolds for some block hugger headers and add some air conditioning.

oh wait.... I'D LEAVE IT ALONE!!

actually I'd install cheater slicks out back and some old Porsche sized tires up front.

then if I still felt like changing stuff, I'd get some older wheels and valve covers to give it more if that 1964ish look.

then cover the running boards with white vinyl

I would have to say LowKat pretty much hit the nail on the head. Changing it very much would seem kinda crazy to me. It is pretty f'n cool as is. You would have to try real hardto make an improvement by changing something, You might end up downgradeing it if you are not real careful ......

  19. Jumped right off of one of Keith Weezner's boards...
Looks like a little refreshto the headliner and a bit of what LowKat says and your ready for
the show and shines... Maybe the HAMB drags too.
(Might want a sultry dame to pose with it too.)

I like you all's ideas I love the thought of doing the running boards in white vinyl. Has a few problems needs a new collumn, the rear is 1" out of square, wiring, and mufflers. Also the engine has not been ran for 40 years... This weekend I will be getting it running...

I just saw the dash in the Ebay pictures, and man is that thing is freakin' TOO COOL! I think you scored big time, and like the guys have said, get it runnin', take care of any safety related stuff, tack that headliner back in place and ROLL! Oh yah! Another vote for white running board covers to match that top insert...NICE RIDE!

Exhaust tips would look better to me if they came out straight rather than stick up like big diesel stacks on large trucks.

    Just me!

Thanks Everyone... I appreciate all the great comments. I am going to pull out the interior clean it up and reattach some of the pleats and put back. Does anyone know the best cleaner to get the black mildew out of the white vinyl?? Some of the stain is in the pleats.. any ideas on what I should use for the floors, they are steel, should I use a rug or rubber..etc.

I would like to know, Being from the North East did the Gassers in the 60's use tinted plex glass??

    Thanks

  30. I've had good luck with 'Orange cleaner'.
    The kind made from citrus.
I just used some on an old travel trailer.
    Smells good too.
