One of the Taiwanese bikes that were sold under different names with minor Variations. Some were actually by Keystone. A few other names like Scat cat And they were also in Australia under the name Deckson I believe, and I also believe there was another name.
This is an old K&S The exhaust pipe is an aluminum baseball bat. Its obnoxiously loud. Clutch slips like a mother fucker on the low end, GPS verified at a shaky as fuck 34MPH
Wow! I've got one of those too! Mine was a real pile when I got it though...and doesn't look much like yours.
Some great stuff here. Below is an old mini bike my son and I fixed up. First picture shows what we started with. Last couple show it finished and a cool sticker we put on the clutch cover we fabbed up.
That's mine man. It does have an issue with breaking the threads off the exhaust pipe since its a rigid mount. The motor vibrates around, and the the connecting rod/exhaust hanger is solid, so it snaps the threads off. I tried sandwiching rubber on both sides of seat (how the hanger is mounted) but It dosnt allow enough give. Oh well.
Got a 64 campus bike - rare 2 speed trans - has a briggs now - teucomp. died long ago. Also have what i think is a mid 60S sears mini -just got through with a mild restoe - tires seat paint exhaust- both run great - BIG Question can we sell them on here??? I dont want to get in trouble - better to ask than to get banned.
Minibike Madness this weekend in Lakeland Florida! http://www.billetproof.com/upcomingshows/florida/floridadrags2011.html
Hello. I just joined this forum and saw that your'e thread was from 2009. Would you still have the speedway scorpion? I had this bike in 71 and would love to have another. Thanks..
Bird Wren frame. 8HP Briggs with electric start(60's vintage)..... and a whole lot of other shit cobbled on the frame!
Attached are some of the toys I've built over the past ten years or so. I hope you like. The bobber with the gold tank and bare frame went 52 MPH with my 240 pound frame holdin' on. Won't happen again with that front fork and the little allen-head the only thing keeping the wheel and the bars pointin' in the same direction.
Here's mine. Ive been slowly building it over the past couple of years. Its basically a replica of a bike called a Trutest that was available through the mid 70's - mid 80's here in NZ. I now only need to finish the engine and its done. Its running an old 3 hp b and s. The pics dont show it well but there is silver and rainbow flake in the powder clearcoat. Andy.
Just looked through this thread and I have an old bike, I dont know much about it but i think its an mtd. Its also a metalic green, do you have any pics of yours? If it looks like that ranger they could be the same models.
Hey Fellers - Wow, there are some nice bikes on here! We picked one up at a garage sale a couple years ago and I am wondering if anyone can tell me who the original manufacturer was and/or time period of the bike. It has a newer engine on it, I know. It used to be a red metal flake. The identification plate on the front says CAPCO Jeep Cycle. The serial number is 1285. Thanks!
Looks alot like mine. Scroll down about half way: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119200&page=54
OH, i had that exact same bike brand new, they came with a chrome pipe out the back, mine was even green, i think it was around 1972, and i could blow the doors off those honda 50's
I bought a mini bike with my paper route money. My dad's friend had a red ARCTIC CAT with suspension, motorcycle style gas tank, ETC. I sold it to my boss at a resturaunt I worked at.
