Is there a bracket/kit that will move the shifter farther to the p***enger side? I dont think heating and bending the handle will get me where I need to be, thanks!

I had a 68 Camaro and if I remember correctly the shifter came up in the center of the tunnel. You probably have the straight line supper shifter.

I had a super shifter in my 32. Bought a straight shifter stick from hurst , heated and bent it to offset to the right about 2 1/2 inches. That got the stick centered between the front seats.

Yep, I had the same problem with a Mopar A-833 behind the Mopar big block. Shifter stick ended up looking like a straightened out Z.

of course i had the same problem, my saginaw 4 speed had the body mounted shifter with it. i made mounts to mount it to the trans, mounting it as far forward as possible. rebent the shift arms and cut off the lever in favor of a hurst stick. those shifters flopped around loosly! so i put a spring on the left side. works great!!! its just a little over center of the floor, so my wife moves fast to get out of the way when i start throwing gears!!

Hurst Mopar Sticks from the late 60's to early 70's are fairly tall and offset to the right. They bolt onto any Competion Plus shifter!

Hurst makes two different styles of offset aftermarket Compe***ion Plus shifter bodys. One is for the 67-69 Camaro and the other is for the 1968-1972 Chevelle. Both will do exactly what you need for your application. Here are pictures of both.
