Event Coverage California Hot Rod Reunion 2011 (week before) photo teasers from the K rail

i want to take my dad to this. can i buy tickets at the gate or do i have to order them?

 

First time for my cousin and I. A couple old guys (Freemont Drag Strip era)that just couldnt afford to put it off another year.
Leaving Tracy Friday morning at o dark thirty to get there when the gates open.
So how long should we expect to wait in line at the gate if we get there at 8 am.

Tickets available at the gate, suggest going early, especially on Saturday, or plan a long hike in...spectators will be parked on the edge of the road as far as 1/2-3/4 mile away....but it is a 'don't miss' deal...Dad will love it, stop by the pit and say hi....Smokey's Firebird, will be pitted next to McCain's Nitro Angel....
