I haven't seen the magazine yet, but I think I've seen the T. Was it at Bowling Green last year? Please show the mural on the tailgate. Please! I have a soft spot for Fad T's. And this one is a rad Fad T!
THAT COUNTS! The 55 is nice! Looks like Hot Rod could just publish the mag with Hamber cars each month.
Well nice to meet you Paintcan. I was just suprised that I haven't seen that car yet since we are both from the Indy area. I like it. Was that car at Bubbas during Good Guys? I keep thinking maybe I saw it there?
Thanks again everybody for the kind words. Luckys8ba, that is one bad '55 Checked it out when we doen the photo shoot together. Bib Overalls, thanks A****er mike, yes you are right about that. Terd ferguson, hereis your pic. Hot Rod Dirtys, Yes, it was at the Bash we drove over from Indy, love the Bash gets better every time. Here T with my sons '54 Ford at the Bash just before we headed out. Tommyd, No, it was at Bubbas when he had the Haulers on Main st. show, for the Brickyard, and then it was at the Goodguys Booth at the Brickyard all weekend as Goodguys was pushing there comming to the IMS. We drove it to Lima, Ohio on Goodguys weekend to the Rebel Run show.
That's the one I remember from Bowling Green!!!!! That mural is AWESOME!!!! Pirates (?) and satellites!!!!!
Should be back to the HHR again in'12.I have chased the history down on the car and found out it was painted in or around Lake Geneve, Wisconsin in 1978 by a man who signed it "SeVick" have not found him as of yet but still looking.
I wondered that myself when I saw the firewall tag. I'm not ordinarily a Fad T guy (I would probably have said I hate them), but the owner did a good job pruning down the '70s excesses and leaving just a bit of nostalgic kitsch behind. Nice job! And the '55 was cool too - I guess I dig that kind of overkill but not Fad Tness. Hypocrisy. -Dave
Its also very pleasing that Fred ( PAINTCAN54) drives the hell out of this car , cold wet hes on the road !!!! Hes pretty tough for an old guy !!!!!
I dig it, noticed the HAMB tag last night...I like the interior, and that 55 is what I used to dream of as a kid in the early 70's....
