Anyone else seen it? Flat black '49 (or '50?) 4-door Ford, rollbar, black steel wheels. Getting chased around like a moonshine runner...you don't see much of that on TV every day...
I saw them talking about that comm on Nascar Nation. Greg Biffle is the driver and Doug Richarts, his crew cheif, is the p***enger. Biffle races a ford for Roush Racing, so it was a natural choice. They showed some of that car on the show, Cool looking, if I must say so myself.
Saw it the other day... I was also supprised that they had that car in it. Cool though! Hey K&R...Oh.. I mean "The Fidgiter" can you PM or e-mail me (niceguy@sover.net) a good pic of you car?
Yeah it's definatly cool..set up just like a moonshiner chase. I didn't realize that was biffle though.
Yep. It is definately Biffle, and a great car to use in that ad. I have gone to Biffle's folk's steel yard here in Vancouver to get steel for my projects for several years. That guy can drive the wheels off a car!
I saw it the other day.....front turn lamps indicate a 1950 Ford I think. Neat commercial compared to the other ones they ran.
A lot of "shine" runners were more doors. Haul hooch on Saturday, Take the family to church on Sunday.
I saw it, but I like the Paris Hilton comm better. Who said, "that ***** bends over and I forget my name"?
Paris Hilton is gross! If shes so damn rich, what the **** is she doing burger comms for? Too damn skinny, She needs to eat alot more of those cheeseburgers to get my attention.
OCP - e-mail sent! Had no idea who the driver was... When I saw it, the first thing that came to my mind was Hankcash! The hubcapless wheels and 4x4 stance, put a shine on it and lose a couple doors, it'd be dead on!!
They did something similar to that in the begining of the Nascar 3D IMAX movie that was out last year, I believe its on DVD now. Don't remember the deteails, but involved the same moonshiner being chased by cops as they discussed the roots of stock car racing.
My girlfriend told me about it, then I saw it. I have to say it was very cool. Now for those of you that hate the thought of someone new coming into your hobby aren't gonna like it, it definitly puts cars like ours in the mainstream!
4 door shoeboxes are cool now? Oh great now everyone will want one. Back in my day moredoor Fords were for little old ladies and broke-*** losers... like me
[if you watch any nascar race they run that commercial every week my personal favorite is the NAPA commercials with Dale Jr and Mikey selling 78 buick regal door pins like they're on QVC and the old lady calls and says she gets them as gifts for her family- cl***ic!
