OT, crazy hot wheel track

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by h2omonkey, Oct 20, 2011.

  1. James May, of the BBC's Top Gear, built a Scaletrix track the same size as the original Brooklands race circuit back in August 2009.

The magic of talented video editing! Probably had no more track than was seen in any one of those shots (launchers too). Still cool though.

  6. Launchers? Geez, in my day we had to push the cars.

Cool video, no matter how it was shot. Someone put some effort into it, that's for sure.

Thanks for the post! That video brought back some memories of good times.

I STILL have nightmares about sprinting to my room as fast as I could to avoid my wooden s**** wielding momma. I always learned my lesson though.

Geez cool, but how much does that stuff cost? Can't imagine it is too cheap. Looks maybe $5k in parts. Maybe he is super good with the Craigslist finds.

Bonus points for the Evil Knievil spa leap though. That was creative.

I wonder if you could do that with a sizzler car? Then you wouldn't need any launchers!

"Hmmm" watch closely, me thinks a bit of computer enhancement has taken place here, just saying.

Excellent! Both the track and the video are really impressive.
