'42 Ford pickup steering box

    I'm restoring a '42 Ford pickup. Trying to remove the steering box. How do I disconnect it from the steering column? I've disconnected everything else. Thanks.

    TOM...Welcome to the HAMB,,,,Please read the "sticky"at the top of this page...INTRODUCE YOURSELF..then post your question on the main message board....But you cannot disconnect the box from the column.Pull the steering as a unit

    As he says^ With it all removed and the column lock off and the steering wheel off the column should slide off the steering shaft.
