Sorry I didn't see the memo......I drove my Roadster up and back without the top this year. It was "REALLY FRICKEN COLD" when I left at 5am, "FRICKEN COLD" halfway there (I had to stop and get a cup of coffee) and just "COLD" when I got there. My first purchase was wrench to tighten a tailpipe bolt, and some house wire to wire up my exhaust when the stress cracked the muffler.

I did find a really cool Fireside heater made by Firestone. It's cover looks like a grill shell with three louvers...Will look cool restored and will give me some heat for next years trip!

No visit to Paperdog, probably walked right by you but had my nose to the ground trying to sniff out bargains! And I hung around the swap space while my cohorts went shopping.

We were on the east end of the swap with a great view of Snelling and all the cars that were coming and going. My brother in law saw your Buick wagon heading north on Snelling about 7 AM or so?? He says to me, "Hey, check that one out"! I think he liked it. I told him I was pretty sure I knew who owned it, even though I've never met you personally. But one of these years...

Was yours the dark green hiboy parked in the lot on the north end? If it was, I wasted a lot of valuable parts-shopping time drooling over it. When I grow up I want a car just like that! :)

We didn't sell much this year but then again I didn't have much to sell - I've cleaned out a lot of my older stuff. I did find a pair of wheels and an exhaust manifold I'd been looking for so the parts shopping was good.

  4. Hahaha...Thank you for solving something for me.
