115 Volt TIG Welder any good?

    That's news to me. They never spoke about how many, only about size;)

  2. I could blow holes in my frame with the 100 weldpack I used. If I cranked it up, it had no problem with penetration. The frame material is.105 I believe. After doing alot of welding with the 100 Weldpack I bought a 175 Amp. 220 volt. It has been the only welder I have used n the last 4 years. It welds thin or thick with no problem. I ahve been welding for 35 years and took about 4 years of welding. I love it but I got a lung disease so a career of doing this ended before I started. That was 30 years ago. I always weld but have to have really good ventalation. A welder is like a computer. The more you can afford, the more you can do. I just feel that if you cant afford 220, a 120 can be used but be sure to get good penetration. Unlike ***, bad welding penetration can kill you.
