I had a friend make these lights for my 56 they fit right in the sleeve of the caddy lights. He asked me if he could make more sets and sell them, I told him I would put it on H.A.M.B. to see if they would be a good sell. So what do you think would you buy them say if they were sold for $20 to $40 a pair? They are a little longer then the caddy lights and have a twist on them, I know I'm opening the door for HATERS as well as those who like them but my friend asked me to ask. LET'S HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY...........
I'd bet they would sell like hotcakes on a ratrod site. They're just a little too...uh...bodacious for an old man like me anyway.
Giggedy-giggedy- goo! I personally wouldnt buy them, i already think the stock 59 lights are a bit too much.
Probably need a red hazard flag hanging off the tip. (can visualize a personal injury lawsuit in the future)
Personally no. I could imagine a set if the Cad lights were "sunken", revealing a partial side profile, therefore not protruding out so far. The pic shows what I have in mind.
Kind of fun for a one time appearance, on your car. They go with the scallops. Not sure I would like to see them over and over though. Hard to say what sort of market there is. Seems to be a market for everything somewhere. I would be WAY more concerned about how much light you can actually see from behind the car, as in, "Am I gonna get SLAMMED by a 3 ton SUV?!?!" I can't imagine much light coming out the back side of those.
To answer your question, no, I wouldn't buy them personally. A little gaudy IMO. But the RR crowd would probably be a good market for them. Not being sarcastic about that, just that those would probably appeal to that segment of the hobby. Don
i kinda like em,but then again i'm a sick bastard..i really don't care for 59 caddy's in stock form,i always liked em cut down..
sort of big looks like they would take your legs off if you walked by the back - maybe if they were shorter?
I think it is a cool piece. It adds a little style to a classic design. Contact Nightprowlers and King of Dice on those.
Well Thank You for all the kind words, I knew I was opening up a door that I should have left closed. We all have or likes and dislikes, and that's why I'm the only one with these lights I guess because I love them they get mixed reviews but then again so does my car. I say it with a kind heart you just have to make your car the way you want it and the hell with the rest of them. Until my next thread HAVE A GREAT DAY to all on H.A.M.B. Ronnie
Oh, harsh, but true. Personally I wouldn't buy them. To many people have over done the look, less is more.
I like to think that more can be more, but it depends on what the more is. Unfortunately, they are not the kind of more that pops my cork. But as has been said, the RR types might go for them. Paul
I don't like them., perhaps if they were a little shorter------somewhere between stock and current lenght.
