Steel Wheel Outer Shells ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Oct 27, 2003.

  1. Anybody know where I can purchase just the outer shells for steel wheels ? I have centers and wish to build my own wheels by welding them into new (wider) shells.

    Thanks..... [IMG]

  9. Thanks, guys ! I want to put '37 Ford wide-5 centers in a 17" shell. I have a new 16" X 8" shell and the I.D. is about 5/8" too small for that center. I'll try Pioneer.....should have thought of that myself... [IMG]

Google will do it to you every time. Especially when you don't read the dates on the thread.

Hey,at least he used the search function! Haha.

  15. They used to call them shells back in 2003? We're calling them rims these days!

You can find shells on the beach.
