It's starting to be a little lame for you guys to refer to a Model A coupe as a 5w. THEY WERE ALL 5W'S!!!! NO other body style to confuse with. After '32 there were 3 and 5w coupes..........thus the need to be clear about which you had. Back when I started (2 days after the invention of dirt) you would have been laughed out of the garage by refering to one as a 5w. "Course this would have been before the "rat rod" rage so maybe your safe in this new "politically correct" world.:eek::(

    Not a bad looking 5W.....:D
But raised up another 6" in the rear would look even better.....

Sorry I was not correct with the terms . It also is amazing that if you build anything outside the box it's not good enough . Everyone gotta have same thing . Just a bunch of old guys hating on change , try have some creativity and build you car the way you want . I hope I get laughed out of the garage . All you guys are obviously better than me .

Sorry I'm not done . I thought I was on a forum of hot rod guys . I guess I was wrong . It's a bashing site . If it's not someone telling u you car ****s it's someone wasting time telling everyone to use the search feature

I think people are getting upset because it originally looked like a rat rod, but with the changes you have made have made it looks a lot better and more traditional (which is what this site is for). Maybe its just me, but I think it should be raised a little (or a lot) higher than it rides (my opinion).
In reality quite a few people on this site have used bags on their vehicles. I personally would like to see an old flathead in there, but again my opinon. Looking good so far.

car looks pretty good, a few things i would change if it were mine. but still not bad to look at.

dont worry about all the guys trying to bash you, just remember anyone can stir up **** on the internet, but doubt they would say anything in person. build what you like, and screw everyone who bashes you over it.

I just think this site is full of a bunch of ***holes who have nothing better to do than to criticize others peoples pride. If u don't like keep you comments to yourself. No need to talk **** from another state. Of course in person you wouldn't say ****. And don't be pissed that if he parked next to I'd cookie cutter "traditional hotrod" nobody would look at ur car

You are on the most TRADITIONAL hot rod site on the net, bar none. And for your information I didn't bash your car..........just pointed out an error in reference that a lot of you new guys make. One thing in your favor is that you react in a "traditional" way by getting your ******* in a bunch at the slightest challenge to your knowledge. Rock on Rat Rodder. By the time you reach my age you'll either have spent a lot of time in the hospital healing from your confrontations (been there, done that) or you'll decide that there are a lot more important things than standing your ground on a lot of silly/worthless issues and instead enjoy life for all it's worth. Pick one!!

Dude its cool... just stick around on this site and keep at it..

Theres two worlds the Traditional and the Rat world.

Period Correct - Every nut and bolt, motor, trans, rear, wheels / tires, paint color, intereior exactally what was done then.

Traditional- And car that has correct porportions, Stance , period wheels and tires motor interior etc. maybe some mixed in year motors, disk breaks mixed year paint styles..ok

Street Rod - Digital gauges etc.

Rat Rod - Mix of all the styles above + tow low, way too long, unsafe, no porportions, no stance, Dubs, fire, skulls, rebar, farm e****ent parts, wrong everything, A distant relative of the Mini Truck.

this site covers the first 2 styles.

That being said.. your car is cool I like the changes and in my opinion it falls on the border of Traditional and Rat Rod.. a little more on the Rat side tho.... you could do some things to "Un Rat" it but as long as your having fun driving your car thats all that matters..
