New to the board, been playing with cars for a long time. I have a 1957 Ford Ranchwagon with a stout 395 ci Windsor and an AOD, and the 1955 2nd Series Chevy Stepside in my screen name. The Chevy is a family hand-me-down that I have had for 20+ years and have moved cross country twice. I drove it as is for several years before starting to screw it up (my Dad's words). It has a MII front suspension conversion and is in the process of getting the trailing arm suspension and 12-bolt from a 1964 C10. For power it has 348 Chevy bored 0.125 inch with a complete BBC 427 rotating ***embly. That will be backed by a 5-speed. IFS and 5-speed aside the truck will have a early '60s look with chrome wheels and either stock dog dish caps or spider caps, a soft tonneau, and mostly original style interior. It will keep the stock door handles and mirrors, etc.
