49-54 chevy front wheel bearing torque spec

    Good Morning. for some reason my manual doesn't have it.
    can someone please help Me out asap?!

    laid55, does your car still have ball bearings in the front hubs? If so, they could be ruined by setting them up the same as tapered rollers. Tapered rollers are designed to take side thrust and are adjusted to eliminate all play and pre-load the bearings. Ball bearings are not designed to take a heavy side load and should be adjusted to take up any excess slack without putting any load on the bearing. They can be a little trickier to adjust, but will give good service if properly set up and maintained.
