    Part 14!

So I realized last night right after my post that there were about 80 or so pics that had not made it to the site yet. Those are in the process of uploading now, along with some fairly mediocre videos that I tried to shoot. I'll share some of that with everyone later today.

Part 15! The lost pics! For some reason the videos won't upload but here's the shots that I found that had not made it to the site previously!

Cool pix bro, love the 57 wagon, shame they shut you out, show'em and don't go next year. Gary's 40 is the bomb. The last pile-up was a good one. Thanx for the coverage amigo. ~sololobo~

Love the pics! Did you get any shots of the v8-powered 64 Corvair in the Heads Up * Meltdown Drag Display across from the command center? I kept trying to go over there to look at it but always got pulled away!

Thanks! The 57 has now been commandeered by mom, I doubt that Dad ever gets it back :)

    Thanks for checking them out!

I didn't get any good shots of it that I can see, but I haven't had a chance to look, hopefully tonight or tomorrow I can check my memory card just to be sure. It was wild I know that!

Then make sure you come out to the Czars' Hunnert Car Heads Up (June 16) AND the Fugitives' Meltdown Drags (July 21). Both clubs helped bring cars in for the display and you'll see most of those cars (and more) at the 2 drag events

Yeah they had a great group of rides out!

As superprojoe said the show is no more, but I'm glad you enjoyed the coverage!

I would say to ride up with me to Iron Invasion next year, but I think I may have to fly, it's just far enough away that it costs about the same in gas as it does to fly, except for getting a rental car.

You're welcome Jonnie, and thanks for all you do, I don't know if we all say it enough. Your interviews are too kool!

Wow John, it's very humbling to have one of the people you look up to recognize your efforts, and to give kudos?!? AWESOME! Thanks, not just for the compliments but for inspiring me to do better every time I get on Facebook and see what you've been working on. Can't wait to see the van's new look in person, but I'm guessing that will have to be Hot Rod Revolution or maybe next Spring at the Roundup. Keep that odometer rolling and keep taking those fantastic shots, they really do inspire!

It doesn't get much better than my life is these days, the most amazing family, some terrific friends that I get to see almost every weekend at car shows across the middle of the country and on top of it all I get so see all of their kool rides! Add to that this weekend I get to be part of the Bluesmasters at the Crossroads for the 12th straight year, I am truly a blessed man.

Thanks Czars, for a great Pileup once again. We the Fugitives, appreciate what you have done all of these years and look forward to participating in the 2012 Hunnert Car heads up. The Heads Up and the Meltdown Drags for 2012 are sure to be 2 events that nobody will want to miss. If anyone hasn't had a chance to read the Van Neys article and the Heads Up article in the fall issue of Rod and Kulture you should. We might just be creating a modern day version of both only legal. What better combination than cruisin and drag racing all in the same place.

It is too bad that this was the last show. However, you couldn't ask for a better way to put the Hunnert Car Pile-up to a close.

For anybody reading this and wondering where the next event will be...
Make sure to check out the Chrome Czars' drag event, the Hunnert Car Heads-up. For more info check out their website. It is a vintage Hot Rod show and Drag meet, focused on drag racing. The Pile-up is great, but in my opinion, the Heads-up is better. What's a better venue than a drag strip for a hot rod event?

Thanks above for the comments on the Fugitives' cars and the Heads-up Display. We (the Fugitives) will be at the Hunnert Car Heads-up and our event, the Meltdown Drags, abusing our drag machines for the Heads-UP/Meltdown Drag Series.

For those of you who don't know about the series, participants in each event will receive a water slide decal at each event. When put together they complete the image. Decals are created by the same shop that made Ed Roth's decals in the 60s.
