Same here mike! You guys are ******** 600 miles with an open trailer, that does not leave much room for gear, fuel, and ect..... I was impressed.

Thats' interesting about the dewalt battery. In the old days when we first got transbrakes and before running altenators i would have to carry two batteries, i'd run 3rnds of qualifying then change the battery because the battery wouldn't have enough to hold the 'brake and i'd roll thru the lights.
Maybe they've developed the solenoids to be more energy efficient, i think ours took about a 30amp draw - it was quite a bit. And that was befor staged rpm limiting, i would have my foot to the floor so there was a good bit of pressure on the solenoid. I liked that so much that after ballooning a couple torque convertors i went to a clutch.
Your car launches with authority, i like that. Let'em eat and don't leave nothin on the table.

If I am not mistaken the top guy there uses a battery like that in his JR Fueler. And sells the kit on his website. I use a small dry cell alarm battery to power the TB and the shift light. They will work.

We an 18 volt tool battery (different brand) in a 7.0 Pro dragster and have no problems. The battery also powers the logger and dash (Racepack). We can flash a blown small block to 5800 against the brake and it will hold so maybe it depends on the brand of solenoid.

Just an up date. Got a lot of the bugs worked out this winter. And have had ALOT of fun scaring the **** out of my self. Just got back from the Nifty 50ee's deal down here in Texas and am working toward making Bowling Green's HHRR, Hamb Drags, and my favorite "Day of the Drags" by the Kontinentals. (anybody heard the date for DOTD 2012????)

Couple pics. I really wanted to keep the mag but it just wasn't cooperating so please excuse the fancy dizzy.
