Looking for a radiator for a 65 chevy c10

Can't believe it's hard to score a radiator for this truck ! 65 chevy c10 with a 6 cylinder ! Everyone has the 8 ! Nobody has one for the six ! Very different !
Anybody have a clue or direction ? Much obliged from the milltown !

take out the funky baffles and stuff and put the bigger radiator in it. You might need to find the top clamp thing.

 

huh... number 284? no shit....... gonna call um up... tryed napa .. but there clueless at timers......

 

my core is 18 3quarter wide.. total height 23 .. number 284 is 25 ansd a half wide wich means i have to cut the frame on both sides to fit? i could but kinda hate to?

All the radiators should interchange. If you can, score a radiator from a V6 gmc truck, they are 4 cores!! Or you can do what I did, I purchased an all aluminum 1 core universal fit radiator from summit for $172 shipped to my house. Just get the measurements height, wide with upper and lower heater hose inlets. Dave

 

have not tryed rock auto... im gonna.... the width is the prob on the 65 c10.... the stock one is total 23 tall .. total 18 three quarter wide... the one that all the shops say will fit is so wide i have to actualy cut the frame rail... lotsa fab work.. mounts ect?

the radiator barn had brass copper one for my 61 for 199 bucks. look em up ya never know...

 

Have you tried LMC Truck. I've had good luck getting parts from them for a '63 pickup that I had. Their catalog gives dimensions, but their radiators are a little pricey.

width is the issue right ? whats max width you need.

haha.. well low n behold... if you do pull the shroud off .. there is a mounting area above the frame rails.... you must pull the shroud off tho.... then u can run the v 8 one... jesus man... lol....
