CHHR blower back fire

saw this over on the cl***ic funny car site, so I decided to post it here for you guys to see. seems these guys were running this engine on a fat load (ie-header flames in the daylight) for a long time this day and had a hi-cupp, the are lucky no one got hurt...themselves or the crowd!

I was at the end of the track at CHRR this year when one blew off just before the traps on an altered. Only thing holding it on was the strapps.

 

I was about 10' away when it blew.
A woman was just getting out of the 55 g***er parked beside it when it blew.She said she felt something hit her stomach and looked down to find two holes in her shirt from flying blower bits.
