whats up yall. names matt. just bought my first classic car and im pretty happy bout it. 51 dodge wayfarer 2 door. got a really good deal from my buddies dad and couldnt pass it up. I've wanted an older car now for awhile and the deal was too good to pass up. A lot of my friends have rods and classics so its time i got one. my buddy has been on here for awhile now (carlos8a) and will be helping me along the way with the car. its pretty much all stock. was repainted and interior was re done a few years back. plans for now is to slam it and white walls. I just want it to look good and drive well for now. maybe in the future, bag it and swap the engine/trans. I'll upload a couple pics soon.thanks guys.

What does slam it mean? I would drive this thing as is for a long time. It's a beautiful old car in great shape. The world is full of slammed and chopped project cars half done and not driveable. Be careful what you wish for. I know kustom cars would've gone nowhere with my way of thinking, but they just don't make these things anymore. My 2 cents.

slam you know get it closer to the ground.... kinda like everyone in the 50's and 60s were doing it on the kustoms! i dont think there is enough chopped and slammed cars out there there is never enough.... and you are right they didnt make many of these cars thats the best part, something different..... just my 2 cents

I would like to lower it more. I agree with what you say about it being in great shape. i hate to mess with it but I have to make it my own. Id love to drive it like it is but it wouldnt be me. I have a vision for it and i wont be happy until its that way...

Never been a big fan of early 50's MoPars, but that one looks very nice ... congrats and welcome ... and it would look nice hunkered down a bit.
