Hey guys. So Im new to this and had a few questions. I've searched and couldnt find the exact answers I was looking for. Thanks in advance for the help.

    1. what is the stock motor size? I've searched and I've seen some ppl saying its a 218 but then I've seen ppl say they have a 230? Anybody know which is correct?

    2. Anybody know the size of the bolt pattern? 5x...?

    3. If I wanted to swap the engine/trans, is there an engine/trans that would be easier than most to put in? Only asking because I'm new and want to take it slow and easy first time around.

  2. I think the stock 6 in that would be a 230

Bolt pattern for the wheels is 4 1/2" on 5, left side has left hand threads.

Lots of tech on this site as to putting a small block mopar (318/340/360) in there. Do some searching and ye shall find.

I believe that year still uses lug bolts rather than studs and nuts. Still available at any auto parts stores in the Dorman boxes...or whatever.
Is this car the 2dr "fastback", or conventional 2 dr, or 4dr?

And the bolts on the left side of the car are reverse threaded.

Your car has fluid drive. there is no physical connection between the engine and trans when the engine is not running. E brake or Wheel Chocks are a must to keep your car from visiting neighbors. Especially if your drive way has any grade to it.

Fluid drive is not the transmission, that may be a standard 3 speed or Dodge's version of the M 6 semi automatic called Gyro matic. Information on those drivetrains can be found by searching the All Par site using those key words.

On the engine block above the generator, there is a flat casting boss, there should be a number beginning with a D stamped into it.

lots of information at P-15 D-24 site start reading all the stuff there. Then join tha forum hosted by that site.
