I have to check the weather forecast before i leave in the roadster, my colleagues and the kids love it but the mangement think its inappropiate for a teacher. The trouble is every one knows if I go home early. If its raining I go in my Devon pickup. I'm a lucky boy!!

I can't wait to drive my wife to work in my 65, I bet every old guy in the place will be talking about it for a week. She is a CNA at a nursing home, might even have to give some old fellas a ride.

Yes the college i worked for didn't think the T should have been parked in the teachers parking lot. Just to piss them off i parked right smack bang outside the entrance where all the guests came in. As mentioned it makes it hard to finish early and sneak off home though. Didn't get to take mine too often but always did enjoy the times i did.

I'm spoiled I guess. My job involves driving my truck, its kind of a rolling adverti*****t for the business. So paint runs, part runs, going to lunch, the only time I don't get to drive it is when Iowa is elbow deep in snow. The slicks are worthless in snow, yes I did try it.

Same with my work parking lot. I used to only drive it on fridays, knowing it was getting washed that night. Now I don't care. My dirty '53 is cooler than any SUV, mini van, silver import 4 door, or tuner. I like NOT blending into the generic m***es.

I drive mine to work and for work hauling things on the back because it's a vintage tow truck! And being as I have not done the body yet there was no worries about scratches or dirt! I even drove it all last winter when both of my other trucks were off the road for repairs, once I got them up and running I just kept driving the 36 because it was so much fun in the snow and ice!

Is that all the snow you've gotten there? There is over a foot up here right now!

..and the only reason I'm not driving mine is the heater core split, but I hope to have it in my towns parade on the 25th heater or not.

back in the 80's my 61 Dodge was my daily, my other car was a 62 Caddy. 20 miles of ****ty freeway with too many people.

last year my daily took a big ****, and I drove the Dodge as a daily for 2 months, 16 miles of freeway with more ****ty people and now we've added cell phones to the mix.

3 speed no synchro column shift, and only two bulbs for brakelights while every other car on the road has huge lights as well as a 3rd up high.

it wasn't fun at all. stop and go with an old 3 speed got old real quick.
