t5 ford drive gear issue

hi all ,i need help from you,i have a ford t5 trans that swap to gm tailshaft and i have change the driven gear ,now is 18 tooth but the drive gear don't touch the driven gear so i think i need to change the drive gear too,,,,i think the 7 tooth is good,,,,my car have 6.00-16''tires and wheels and i have a banjo axle with 3.78 ratio,,,,,,can you help me ?thanks
