well its been 4+ months i have been "painting" my car. it is now ready to be put back together. i thought id see what you guys thought. sorry it was getting dark out when i took the pictures. the paint isnt perfect, but it was my first time and i can say i did it all myself...in a dimly lit too small garage. so heres the before and after.

Looks pretty good from here. I like the blacked out wheels with dog dish caps. Compliments the white paint well.

Nice work there, it looks good. Proves that simple is often a lot better and I like the sleeper concept.

That car with the 454 you mention coupled with a stall converter and a 4.56/4.88 rearend would make a believer our of 90+% of the hot machines prowling the streets.

im planning on trying a 700r4 behind it. ive got one comming my way said to be good for 500hp.. well see. but i might stick with the 3.08 gears that are in it. maybe go up to a 3.73 at some point, but i do about 95% highway driving so rpms and mpgs are a concern.

  13. ahhh..
don't think BBC and MPG are compatible

If you only have a little over 4 months in it you have done good,my 66 F250 looked in similar shape and I have a little over 2 years into getting some paint on it. I took so long this year I had Maaco shoot it since the weather is not good enough to paint it in my garage.
